A new phase of subsurface exploration to collect geophysical data took place recently. Unlike the surveys carried out in the summer of 2023 and spring of 2024, which were aimed at collecting 2D data, three-dimensional data was collected in January 2025.
The geophysical surveys using 3D reflection seismics have recently been completed.
Two Vibroseis vehicles were in operation for eight days across a 30 km² area around the drilling site (in and around the villages of Bassecourt, Glovelier and Boécourt). The large volume of data collected by the numerous sensors (geophones) will now be processed over several weeks to create a three-dimensional image of the subsurface, which can then be interpreted by geologists.
